This photograph was taken on a crisp morning in San Francisco as the first light illuminated the Golden Gate Bridge.

What drew me to the scene was the contrast between the movement of the waves in the foreground and the quiet, enduring presence of the bridge in the distance. It felt like two very different parts of the landscape coming together in a single frame.
