Behind the Lens

This photograph was taken during the same winter boat ride through Coronado as Evening Passage, but this time my attention shifted to the lighthouse as the sun began to set.

The three birds are what make the image for me. Every time I look at it, it feels like they’re racing to get home before dark. Whether that’s true or not, it adds a sense of movement and life to an otherwise peaceful sunset.
